“Hailing from the pacific northwest (Bellingham, Washington), Girls Knows' music is penetrated deeply by the moody rain that is all too common to the area. Feelings of nostalgia and bittersweet memories are a recurring theme throughout the music. Inspired equally by 2000s Revival Rock, Emo, and Shoegaze, the genres are tied together with catchy pop choruses and soaring guitar leads and solos. Bursting onto the scene in late 2022, the band released a series of singles throughout the 2023 that gave a taste of what the band could offer. Opening shows for bands like Ringo Deathstarr, Forty Feet Tall, and Blood Orchid, Girls Know was never defined by one genre, instead fitting in with all sorts of acts, bringing a vibrant and hungry energy to each show.
