Originally started as a solo project by Paul Sawicki, Girls Know came about in 2022. Releasing their debut single “Some Words” the band quickly garnered local attention. The bands high energy alternative rock is often juxtaposed by somber introspective lyrics concerning love, self, friends, and why the hell was I born like this. Throughout 2023, the band continued to play shows, earning opening slots for bands like Ringo Deathstarr, Blood Orchid, 40 Feet Tall and Sinking Season. Towards the end of the year, the band was hit with lineup changes which led to a period of hibernation. Though live shows died down, the band was steadily grinding away at their debut EP, All This Love Could Kill Me.
